Game of the Week: Auditorium (Week of 5 March)

This should HOPEFULLY be the first entry in a long list of games I think people should play before they die.  Or they lose a computer. Or whatever.  You get the idea.

Auditorium (Cross-Platform in-browser, Steam Play, $6.99)

(More screenshots on the website and Steam storefront)

(Demo available on the Auditorium homepage)

If you have headphones (and really, who doesn't), you NEED to play this game.

This game is a simple puzzle-type game where you try to get the "flow" to fill up sound containers using controls that are given to you at the beginning of the level.  The entire premise is so simple, and that fact alone makes for some VERY hard puzzles.  Even more challenging is that the puzzles aren't set-in-stone.  The solutions to the puzzles are completely open-ended; the only thing you have to do is fill up the sound containers with the flow.

The in-browser version is available for ANY (yes, any) platform that supports Flash.  The problem is this version is a little laggy, and buying it on Steam doesn't give you access to the cross-platformability (it's a word because I say so).

The Steam version runs faster for...whatever reason, but it's only available for PC and Mac.

If you like puzzlers, pick this one up whichever way you choose.

I've got a whole bunch of recommendations, so expect to see more of these flood your Google+ streams and/or Tumblr dashboards.
